015 Kyle Buckett -- Navy SEAL and One More Wave CEO - It's NOT About Kyle
Thursday Aug 23, 2018
Thursday Aug 23, 2018
Today's episode is all about the YouSchool's good friend Kyle("Buck") Buckett. Exploding with woo, the conversation hits on Kyle's entrepreneurship beginnings, his path into the SEAL teams, what's wrong (and right) with millennials these days and his critical work as CEO of One More Wave.
Please check out One More Wave and get involved as a supporter by donating to cover the costs of custom surf gear for injured veterans, buying their schwag (my favorite t-shirt in my closet), and hosting or attending one of their many creative events. Also, after listening to this episode please take 6 minutes to watch the powerful film Starbucks put together to cover their organization through their Upstanders series.
Through his upbringing, his faith, his career in the Navy, and now his mission to serve veterans through recreational therapy, Buck's an epic illustration of what this month's theme is all about.

Mike's a good friend of the YouSchool and one of the first veterans to go through our LifeScript program a few years ago. His insights and perspective have been invaluable in shaping how we come alongside and serve veterans as they go through their transition. Mike cares deeply about helping veterans find the mental and emotional support they need in order to thrive through an extremely disorienting time in their lives.
He's also launching a new project, Operation School Shield, whose mission is to create safer schools, protect children and give veterans purpose through service to their communities. After listening to the episode please take a look at their website for ways you can get involved.
